Veevum Terra — Free Download
Veevum Terra is an ambient and cinematic virtual instrument for Kontakt, offering deep sound design with randomized sound sources, flexible playing modes, ornaments, and an arpeggiator.

Purpose and Sound Sources
Veevum Terra is part of the VEEVUM series, designed for modern producers and composers seeking ambient and cinematic textures. Each instrument in the series contains 100 distinct sound sources, selected through the Cells Beehive interface or randomized for instant inspiration. Sources can be filtered by categories specific to each instrument, helping you navigate the extensive palette.
Up to 50 sound sources can be loaded simultaneously, giving you a massive sonic canvas. The entire patch can be randomized, affecting not just sounds but also effects, portamento, and unison settings. This makes Veevum Terra a powerful tool for generating unique, evolving soundscapes quickly, ideal for film scoring, sound design, or ambient music production.
Playing Modes and Textures
The instrument offers several ways to play the loaded sound sources. In RANDOM mode, a different source is selected for each note you play, creating variety and surprise. STACK mode can play all sources simultaneously in FULL STACK, or distribute them across the keyboard in SPREAD STACK for layered, keyboard-split textures.
FULL STACK includes STACK CURVE MODE, where individual volume LFOs crossfade between sources to produce evolving, shifting textures over time. This is excellent for pads and drones that morph organically. The combination of these modes allows for both rhythmic, random sequences and dense, sustained soundscapes, depending on your creative needs.
Ornaments and Arpeggiator
The Ornamento engine generates additional notes based on user-defined intervals, adding complexity to arpeggiations or enriching static pads. These added notes can be quantized to a scale using the Scale Manager, ensuring they stay in key and avoid dissonant intervals. This feature is useful for adding melodic interest without manual programming.
The built-in arpeggiator works alongside RANDOM playing mode to create sequences that trigger different sounds on each note, offering rhythmic and timbral variation. Additionally, Step Volume and Step Filter effects allow you to sculpt dynamic patterns and filter movement, making Veevum Terra suitable for rhythmic ambient or cinematic pulses.
Effects and Workflow
Veevum Terra includes a Convolver with unique impulse responses that dramatically alter the sound’s character. A special Convolver becomes active on specific notes when the Random FX feature is enabled, adding unpredictable spatial and textural changes. This is ideal for creating evolving, otherworldly atmospheres.
The instrument also features Portamento, up to 6-voice unison, Pitch LFOs, and volume AHDSR envelopes that can be applied per sound or per patch. Effects include Delay, Reverb, Phaser, and Rotator, providing comprehensive sound shaping. With randomization across all elements, workflow is fast, allowing you to generate fresh ideas and then refine them with detailed control.
