Modartt Organteq 2 — Free Download
Organteq 2 is a physically modeled pipe organ for PC and Mac, offering real-time sound synthesis, extensive stop collections, and deep pipe voicing controls for authentic, expressive performances.

Real-Time Physical Modeling
Organteq 2 creates pipe organ sound through physical modeling rather than samples. This means every note is computed in real time, responding to how you play. Attack variations, subtle transient differences, and the characteristic behavior of sustaining pipes are all reproduced naturally, giving an authentic feel similar to a real organ. The compact installation loads quickly and requires no dedicated hard drive, unlike massive sampled libraries.
The model includes over four thousand pipes inspired by builders like Cavaillé-Coll, Silbermann, and Tröst. Sixty-eight stops cover the full range from deep 32-foot basses to high 1-foot ranks. The pipe stops can be assigned across three manual keyboards with a five-octave span and a 32-note pedalboard, allowing realistic console layouts.
Expanded Stop Collections and Sound Engine
The second version introduces a new set of German Baroque stops, crafted after the tradition of builders such as Schnitger and Tröst. This adds thirty-four stops to the existing French Romantic collection, which includes both flue and reed pipes. Additional 32-foot reed and flue bass pipe models strengthen the low end, providing a solid foundation for full-organ registrations.
These refinements make the instrument more responsive and realistic across all stops and dynamics. The physical modeling now captures fine details like chiff, air noise, wind jitter, and brightness, which can be adjusted individually for every pipe. This gives you a huge range of tonal possibilities, from crisp, articulate Baroque sounds to lush, broad French Romantic colors.
Advanced Voicing and Console Controls
Every pipe of every stop can be voiced individually. Parameters such as chiff amount, air noise, wind jitter, and brightness are directly adjustable, offering an unprecedented level of tonal control. Whether you are recreating a specific historical instrument or designing a new one, the ability to fine-tune each pipe lets you craft the exact sound you need. This deep voicing capability is ideal for recording, live performance, and liturgical settings.
The console has been upgraded to hold up to fifty stops, with four monophonic couplers for bass and melody. There is support for three assignable expression pedals, and the crescendo pedal now includes twenty-four steps and can control couplers and tremulants as well as dynamics.
Accessibility and Interface Improvements
The graphical user interface has been completely overhauled with touchscreen compatibility in mind, so you can operate the organ on a tablet or touch-enabled monitor. Additionally, built-in support for VoiceOver on macOS and Narrator on Windows ensures that visually impaired users can navigate the instrument effectively. These accessibility features make the organ more inclusive, allowing a wider range of musicians to enjoy its capabilities.
The redesigned interface presents the console and stops in a clear, intuitive layout. Combined with the physical modeling engine, this makes Organteq 2 easy to learn and play, yet deep enough for advanced sound designers. Whether you are practicing, performing, or recording, the interface supports a smooth workflow. The instrument is designed to work with any MIDI-compatible keyboard, though a dedicated organ console and pedalboard will enhance authenticity.
