Harrison Bass Flow — Free Download
A bass-focused channel strip with pitch-tracking EQ, spectral compression, five-band EQ, chorus, and flexible routing for mixing.

Bass-Specific Signal Processing
Harrison Bass Flow is a single plug-in designed as a complete processing chain for bass guitar and similar low-end instruments. Instead of linking separate effects, it provides four distinct processing elements arranged in a signal flow that you can reorder freely. Its purpose is to give you streamlined, purpose-built tools for shaping a bass sound from start to finish within one window.
A central feature is the Bass Character equalizer, which tracks the pitch of the incoming bass notes. Rather than applying static EQ, it adjusts harmonics relative to the fundamental frequency, letting you change the tone and texture of each note independently. This proves especially useful for maintaining a consistent timbre across a performance where notes vary in pitch.
Compression and Tone Shaping
The Spectral Bass Compressor operates as a multiband compressor with its frequency bands concentrated in the low range where bass notes typically occupy. This allows you to apply compression selectively across specific regions, such as taming the low fundamental while preserving attack or controlling upper harmonics separately. It is designed specifically for bass material, offering a level of control not found in generic compressors.
Alongside this, the Equalizer module provides a five-band EQ with two additional filter bands, each featuring adjustable frequency, gain, shape, and Q parameters. You can enable or bypass individual bands as needed, and the EQ graph gives you direct visual manipulation. This module suits fine-tuning the overall balance, cutting mud, or adding presence without affecting the dynamic control provided by the compressor.
Routing, Monitoring, and Controls
Bass Flow includes a Master Control section for essential adjustments such as input and output trim, polarity switching, and signal routing. You can reorder the four processing elements by dragging them in the routing list, allowing you to place the compressor before the EQ or the chorus before the Bass Character, for example. The signal flows from top to bottom, with arrows indicating the direction.
Router Listen points are available within the routing section, marked by ear icons. These enable you to audition the signal at specific positions along the chain, automatically bypassing any modules that are later in the order. A Solo/Listen Clear button turns any active listen point or soloed module off, and its indicator light shines when either function is engaged.
Workflow and Practical Use
The integrated Chorus module adds motion and space to the bass by generating two pitch-shifted voices, one above and one below the original signal. With detune and delay controls plus a mix knob, you can introduce a subtle thickness or a more pronounced detuned effect.
Potential applications include adding clarity to busy mixes, achieving a polished low-end for rock or electronic tracks, or creating a rich, animated bass for pop productions. The channel strip approach saves time, while the flexible routing and listen points help you fine-tune the order of effects to match the source material. Its tools address both tonal shaping and dynamic control in a cohesive interface.
