Purpose and Core Design

Epure V3 is a state-of-the-art five-band equalizer engineered for professional audio processing. It is designed as a sharp-edged surgical tool, prioritizing the preservation of an optimal signal-to-noise ratio regardless of parameter settings. The interface provides hands-on editing of band curves directly on the display, allowing for intuitive and precise adjustments across the full frequency bandwidth.

Each of the five color-coded bands covers the complete frequency range and offers a wide gain range. The EQ includes a true bypass that routes the incoming signal directly to the output, ensuring a clean comparison with the processed sound. A master gain control is also provided. The overall design focuses on delivering the absolute finest audio quality within the domain of digital audio processing.

Key Capabilities and Controls

Each band offers a selection of filter types, including low cut, low shelving, peak, high shelving, and high cut. The Q factor is adjustable across a wide range, allowing for both broad tonal shaping and highly resonant cuts. Gain control is also flexible, with a dedicated range that accommodates subtle adjustments or dramatic boosts and cuts.

To enhance workflow, each band section includes instant gain controls. These allow you to multiply the gain by two, divide the gain by two, or invert the gain, converting positive values to negative and vice versa. These quick actions make it easy to experiment with different gain structures or create phase-inverted variations. The controls are designed for immediate, logical operation.

Dual Presets and Morphing

Epure V3 includes two preset and parameter slots, labeled A and B, which can hold two full sets of parameters simultaneously. This allows for instant A/B comparison and quick copying of settings between slots, even during playback. A global preset can be saved that contains both slot A and B settings along with the position of the morphing slider.

The morphing slider provides real-time morphing between the parameter settings of slots A and B. This is useful for creative sound design, such as transitioning between two different EQ curves during a performance. Enabling the automation control exposes the morphing slider to host automation, allowing you to record and automate the morphing process for dynamic changes over time.

Multichannel and Routing Flexibility

Epure V3 supports eight channels of simultaneous processing for L-R, M-S, or surround operations. It includes up to four M-S encoders and decoders, and up to eight internally routable processing groups. This allows you to process multiple distinct tiers within a single plugin instance, such as applying different EQ settings to front and rear channels in a surround setup.

For example, you could configure an M-S EQ on the front channels and a separate M-S EQ on the rear channels within one instance of Epure V3. This routing flexibility makes it a powerful tool for complex mixing and mastering tasks, especially in multichannel audio production. The logical user interface simplifies managing these routing options, enhancing overall workflow efficiency.
