Purpose and Core Tools

The Efektor Pitch Bundle is a collection of three pitch manipulation pedals designed to expand a guitarist’s tonal palette. It combines a smart harmony generator, a quad-engine pitch shifter, and a pitch-bending effect unit. Each tool serves a distinct role, from adding subtle thickening to creating dramatic, sweeping shifts.

The bundle is positioned as a cost-effective way to acquire all three pedals together, offering a complete set of pitch-based effects for guitarists. It focuses on live performance and studio creativity, giving you dedicated controls for each effect type. This is a practical all-in-one solution for players who want to experiment with pitch without needing multiple separate units.

Smart Harmony Engine

The Meloditron is a monophonic, dual-voice intelligent harmony generator. It follows your playing and creates harmonized notes that stay in key, based on your chosen mode and scale. It is like having two additional musicians play along with you, always in perfect sync with your performance.

This engine is designed to produce musical harmonies automatically, reducing the need for manual scale setup. You can select from various modes and scales to achieve different harmonic flavors. It is ideal for soloing or melodic lines, adding rich, complementary parts that enhance your lead playing.

Pitch-Shifter and Harmonizer FX

The Harmonitron provides four independent pitch-shifting engines. You can shift pitch up or down by up to two octaves, with additional detune, swell (slow attack), and low-pass filter options. This flexibility allows for everything from subtle detuning to dramatic octave jumps.

Each engine can be adjusted independently, offering complex multi-voice textures. Use it to thicken riffs, add higher or lower notes to enrich your tone, or create organ-like timbres on guitar by engaging the slow-attack swell. The low-pass filter helps shape the tone, making the effects sit well in a mix. This unit is a versatile tool for both guitar and other sources like vocals.

Pitch-Bender and Practical Use

The Whammo is a high-precision pitch shifter and bender designed for smooth pitch-sweeping actions. It can shift pitch in either direction, from deep, rumbling lows to piercing highs. This is the classic effect used for dive bombs and dramatic sweeps.

It is controllable via MIDI, and the manufacturer recommends using a foot controller for real-time pitch effects. For live performance, this pedal is the go-to for creating expressive, wailing shifts. The bundle covers everything from intelligent harmonies to extreme pitch bends, making it suitable for various genres like rock, metal, and experimental music. All three pedals can be used on guitar, and the Harmonitron also works well for vocals.
