Vecto — Free Download
Vecto is a four-oscillator vector synthesizer with XY-controlled blending, analog and spectrum waves, granular samples, dual filters, effects, and over 1400 presets.

Core Synthesis Engine
Vecto is a four-oscillator hybrid synthesizer originally designed for the Reason Rack Extension environment, now expanded for other platforms. It combines analog-modeled waveforms, spectrum waveforms, and built-in samples that support granular mode. The XY pad controls oscillator volumes live or as programmable, tempo-based automation, letting you draw vector paths to morph between timbres.
Key synthesis features include two analog-modeled filters with 36 modes, flexible routing path options, and an amplifier section with attack, decay, sustain, sustain-fade, and release envelopes, plus velocity and pan control. Two free envelopes add further shaping with keyboard tracking and tempo sync. A modulation matrix provides eight routing slots for complex sound design.
Performance and Playback Modes
Vecto offers multiple play modes: polyphonic, monophonic, arpeggiator, and MPE compatibility. Chord memory and portamento enhance melodic control. The built-in arpeggiator features 16 steps with per-step on/off, velocity control, and swing. Free LFOs include various waveforms and modes, with optional tempo synchronization.
The instrument supports different tuning options, including .tun file imports, and features GUI scaling at 100%, 133%, and 200%. A control menu in the upper right corner handles global settings. MPE MIDI compatibility allows expressive per-note pitch, timbre, and pressure control when using suitable controllers.
Effects and Output Routing
Vecto includes two high-quality effect processors. FX1 offers chorus, ensemble, flanger, phaser, widener, tremolo, vibrato, and autopan. FX2 provides a stereo delay or reverb. These effects complete the audio chain and allow you to add space, movement, and tonal character directly within the instrument.
Filter and effect routing can be adjusted to shape the final sound. The amplifier envelope and pan controls further refine the output. For live use, the XY pad provides real-time control over oscillator mix; in production, you can record automated XY movements for dynamic changes that evolve with the track.
Preset Management and Workflow
Vecto ships with over 1400 presets organized into bank folders. The bank manager includes four main areas: presets, find, search category, and set category. A quick browser, favorites, and a star system allow rapid navigation and selection of sounds. This makes it easy to find suitable patches for a project.
The back screen contains global controls, including MIDI settings that affect all instances of Vecto. This is useful for consistent configuration across multiple tracks. The combination of preset browsing, star ratings, and global controls streamlines a creative workflow, whether you are sketching ideas or fine-tuning a mix.
