Two Signature Kits

Eloy Drums captures two contrasting kits inspired by Eloy Casagrande’s work. Kit CasaGrande is a large, aggressive setup reflecting his Slipknot gear, packed with grit and power. Kit CasaGroove is a stripped-back, intimate arrangement rooted in his Brazilian and Sepultura influences, offering maximum impact from minimal components.

Each kit provides multiple snare options, expanding your sonic palette without cluttering the main interface. The kits were recorded in the famous drum room at Fascination Street Studios, designed with high ceilings and no parallel surfaces for a unique live sound.

Mixing and Customization

The instrument includes a fully featured mixer with compression, EQ, transient shaping, and saturation modules, including vintage-style FET circuits and tape machine emulations. Presets from a wide range of respected metal producers offer instant starting points, while the deep mixer allows for detailed sound sculpting to fit your track.

Dedicated trigger channels on both kits let you blend custom kick and snare samples with the built-in sounds. You can drop in your own one-shots or use selections from the Jens Bogren Signature Drum Samples pack, all within the instrument. This flexibility makes it simple to reinforce or completely reshape the drum tone to suit your production style.

Performance Tools and Grooves

Smart features help you craft lifelike performances. The anti-machine-gun algorithm adds subtle variation to rapid consecutive hits, avoiding the unnatural sameness of triggered drums. An auto double-kick function alternates between two kick samples during fast runs, mimicking a real double pedal performance.

Over 150 MIDI grooves and fills performed by Eloy are included, ready to drag and drop into your DAW. Use them as-is for quick sketches or as a basis for building your own arrangements. The MIDI files are organized by style and tempo, making it easy to find the right feel for your song.

Additional Formats and Workflow

Beyond the main Kontakt instrument, the library ships with Trigger 2 TCI files and WAV samples. These let you use the drum shells as standard mix samples in any DAW, whether you prefer Trigger or manual sample replacement. The round robins, velocity layers, and multiple microphone choices carry over for realistic layering.

The library works as a standalone instrument for programming full drum parts, or as a sample source for enhancing existing recordings. The inclusion of both formats makes it a versatile tool for metal producers who toggle between virtual instrumentation and sample reinforcement. Whether you are writing from scratch or tightening up live takes, the workflow is straightforward.
