Structure is a multi-timbral instrument that combines a sampler, sample editor, and effects processor into one flexible environment. At its heart is a universal sound engine enabling up to 128-level multi-timbral playback per instance, with support for 8-channel interleaved samples. Each patch can hold an unlimited number of parts, each built from a single sample, multiple samples, sub-patches, MIDI processors, and audio or MIDI effects.
The built-in library is substantial, spanning orchestral strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, acoustic and electronic drums, pianos, keyboards, guitars, basses, synth pads and leads, choral sounds, and atmospheric textures. It includes exclusive content recorded at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios, plus a high-definition grand piano.
Editing and Effects
The integrated Sample Editor provides waveform-level editing without leaving the DAW. Per-zone editing lets you modify pitch, envelope, filter, amplifier envelope, output, and effects routing using standard waveform tools. The editor is resizable, allowing precise detail work across a large screen. This makes fine-tuning individual zones or whole patches straightforward, whether you are correcting a single note or shaping a complex multi-sample instrument.
For sound shaping, Structure includes a multi-effects engine with over 20 effect types in both stereo and surround. These include reverbs, including convolution reverbs, delays, compressors, and EQs. You can insert an unlimited number of effects per patch and route any patch, part, or zone to four global effect sends, each with four inserts.
Organization and Workflow
Finding and managing sounds is streamlined with a built-in database and file browser. You can search by instrument type, manufacturer, style, name, and more, and audition samples directly in the browser. The interface allows you to register, categorize, and edit file metadata to improve search results. This organization helps you navigate the large library quickly and build patches efficiently.
The interface includes a built-in keyboard for testing notes and playing parts at any time. You can also connect a MIDI controller for hands-on triggering and performance. Six context-dependent Smart Knobs provide quick access to key sonic parameters per patch, and you can assign any rotary control to your hardware MIDI controller via MIDI Learn. This blend of visual organization and tactile control supports both studio sessions and live use.

Structure excels at layering samples to create rich, complex patches. You might combine a string ensemble with a synth pad and a percussion loop, each routed to different effects and outputs. The unlimited parts and effects allow for ambitious soundscapes, while the ability to load Kontakt or EXS24 libraries means you can incorporate existing collections as starting points. The integrated REX player lets you use tempo-synced loops within your patches.
With up to 31 auxiliary outputs, you can route different parts or zones to separate tracks in your DAW for discrete mixing and processing.
